About

About this tool: UTM Builder

Enter a valid website URL plus source, medium and campaign, optionally add term and content, then copy a correctly encoded tracking URL without sending it to a server.

It is intended for development and data-cleanup workflows, with errors kept inside the interface so malformed input does not crash the page.

UTM Builder is presented in the shared NexterHub tool layout so the working controls stay near the top while the method, example, limitations and related utilities remain available below the result.

How it works

The browser URL constructor validates the base URL, then URLSearchParams.set adds or replaces each UTM parameter with proper percent-encoding.

Practical example

https://example.org/landing plus source=newsletter, medium=email and campaign=spring_launch becomes a URL with properly encoded utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign parameters.

Important notes

Validate the output in the context where you will use it, especially when the source data is incomplete or uses an unsupported syntax variant.

Privacy & processing

The primary formatting, parsing, encoding or conversion logic for this tool runs in the browser in the current build.
