About this tool: Typing Speed Test
Choose a 15, 30, 60 or 120 second test, type a built-in passage without paste, and see WPM, raw WPM, accuracy, correct characters and incorrect characters.
The tool focuses on the text you provide and returns an immediately reusable result for writing, cleanup, comparison or analysis.
Typing Speed Test is presented in the shared NexterHub tool layout so the working controls stay near the top while the method, example, limitations and related utilities remain available below the result.
How it works
The timer starts on the first character. WPM = correct characters ÷ 5 ÷ elapsed minutes, raw WPM uses all typed characters, and accuracy = correct ÷ total typed × 100.
Practical example
If you type 250 correct characters in one minute, the conventional corrected speed is about 50 WPM.
Important notes
Review the processed text before publishing because automated cleanup or transformation may change formatting you intended to keep.
